Bones and Cap
My sister had been visiting for a few days before her Cap came for the weekend. We laughed a lot, ate some really good food (the salmon sausage pasta and cheeses were awesome), went skating and gamed a little. And, you know when you have visitors, there comes that point where you want them to leave? Well, we never reached that point and the house is a little too quiet today.

I always reach that point, quickly, especially when visiting family. Maybe some day ...
Aw shucks. It was the best week ever & just what the doctor ordered. Thanks again for letting us invade. I miss y'all.
Snay, there are certain family members I am glad to see come and some I am glad to see go. With my sister and her man, myself along with my wife and kids, we always want them to stay. In fact we hope that they move to our area in the future.
Bones, I got quieter as the weekend progressed only because I was so tired from staying up late laughing so much. We really enjoyed you staying with us and I really enjoyed hanging out with you.
So the question is....would she leave Toronto?
Update at 11!
I have no doubt she would leave, but it's not as simple as that. If I had had my way we would be living in the Soo. Port Dover is a charming compromise.
I would absolutely leave Toronto. The city has been good to me and I love it -- But it is too polluted and noisy and busy.
Wah -- How much do I love having a great soy latte a five minute walk away. The Jamaican, Mexican, Indian, Thai, Chinese, Fusion & Vegan food in the hood is pretty hard to consider leaving as well.
Also -- the friends. Oh, I would miss the friends so much.
But I would leave. I would....
I've had up to 10 people in my wee home in the past 2 weeks and oddly enough, it never felt crowded. I still have company and am laughing more for it. :) (2 weeks, not counting, loving it!)
Having your family stay with you is somewhat festive. Now in-laws, that's a whole other story.
I knew I was destined to be small town when I moved down south and amidst all the new and cool restaurants and culture and 'scene' around me, all I could think of was Mrs.B's pizza and the Station Mall. sigh....
lol
Oh man. Mrs. B's pizza mmmmmmm. Nobody, nowhere I have been, can make pizza like Mrs. B's. Not even close. No contest. When my dad visits he always brings me some sausage and a porchetta roast. You can't find good stuff like that anywhere else but the Soo also. I hope to be in the Soo over the summer and I am making a b-line to B's.
I dream of a properly made panzarotti. I once had one brought 1300 kms. They got it here, I salivated and ate it cold. There's nothing like a proper panzarotti. And my kids are on to mrs. b's. They are all over that when we get there!
Amen sister!
