Fare Thee Well, Charles
Charles Nelson Riley passed away last Friday at the age of 76. I grew up watching him on tv Saturday mornings on the kids show H. R. Puff 'N Stuff. With his openly gay persona he was years ahead of his time and most likely his career suffered due to this. Over the top sporting big glasses and ascots he was never without a double-entendres for his audience.

He was the confusing Elton John man of my childhood...Hollywood Squares BABY!!
If he were alive he'd have cutting retort or at least a stern look for you. He hated that he was on game shows. He felt strongly that because of those appearances he was typecast as a game show sit-in and not an actor. This was a man who was nominated and recieved awards for his acting and directing of theatre on Broadway. Still, he made his bed...
What's wih that modified Vulcan salute he's giving?
No no. He's ordering two Shirley Temple cocktails.
I'm of a mixed mind on this one.
I've used the word many times this week...but uh, definitely ambivalence...yeah thats it.
